Am I the only one who wakes up looking super ragged? I’ll double cleanse, sheet mask, apply all my serums, jade roll my face, and slather on some nice moisturizer before I go to bed. I’m honestly glowing when I go to sleep. But, when I wake up, I look in the mirror and wonder what has happened to me. Did I just get hit by a bus? Is this what I really look like??
I always wake up with the absolute puffiest and darkest circles under my eyes. No matter how much sleep I get…I will never wake up like Beyonce. It’s a really unfortunate situation.
I started getting into eye patches this past year to combat my tired eyes. I would use some random cheap ones off Amazon or over-priced ones from Sephora. I would say that the brands from Sephora worked the best, but I just couldn’t justify the price of paying $60 for a jar of eye patches, especially if I’m using them every morning.
I’m a huge fan of rose. Put rose in anything, and I’ll put it on my face. When I came across the Heimish Bulgarian Rose Water Hydrogel Eye Patches, I was super excited to try them out. It’s only $20 for a container with 60 pieces. I felt like that was a reasonable price for eye patches…not too cheap and not too expensive. The big question was…..do they actually work?
Since Bulgarian rose water is the main ingredient, each eye patch is full of vitamins and minerals that also include hydrating and anti-inflammatory properties. These patches claim to brighten dark circles, firm the skin, tighten pores, and also provide a cooling sensation to irritated and red skin. It also contains Glycerin and Coconut Fruit Extract, which act as humectants that attract moisture to the skin from the air. The Niacinamide and Carrageenan help even out the skin tone and firm fine lines. These are just some of the main ingredients…and it already sounds promising!
Packaging: I love how it has a separate lid with a spatula! This keeps everything sanitary. However, I’m an animal; so, I just use my fingers to dig out the eye patches.
Scent: There is a hint of a rose scent. It’s nothing too strong. Also, it probably smells like rose because it’s made with rose water…
How To: After I cleanse, tone, apply my serum and moisturizer, I put my eye patches on for 20-30 minutes.
They ACTUALLY WORK! I felt an immediate cooling sensation. Also, I noticed as I kept these patches on, they got smaller over time. That meant the liquid was soaking into my skin. Such a great feeling!! The patches also stuck under my eyes without slipping. I definitely noticed a change as I took these off. My under eyes were brighter, and the puffiness went down tremendously. I felt like my eyes just drank coffee and came back to life! My under eyes also felt extremely hydrated as well. I still add a little eye cream on after patting in the excess just to give my eyes some extra moisture!
